"There's just no accounting for happiness, or the way it turns up like a prodigal who comes back to the dust at your feet having squandered a fortune far away." (Jane Kenyon)

I Need You, Nanny McPhee!

I saw Nanny McPhee Returns yesterday. It was lovely, even though I had to throw a gummy bear at Eleanor who was standing up in her seat. I cried my eyeballs out. There were flying pigs and burping birds, what was I supposed to do? But seriously, I need a Nanny McPhee to swoop into my crazy, overwhelmed life with her unibrow and magic stick to save me from this overburdened life. I need her to come and stay with me and mine until we all learn those five, perfectly appropriate lessons:

1) Stop Fighting

2) Share Nicely

3) Help Each Other

4) Be Brave

5) Have Faith

Especially the last two, I really need a little magic in my life to help me with those. And Ewan McGregor, of course, running through a field of sunshine and barley.
