My Aunt Em

This is a picture of Dorothy's Aunt Em, but today is my Aunt Em's birthday, but
don't be fooled by the aunt title. She's only ten years older than I and she has always been more of a sister to me than an aunt. I adore her. I am the most comfortable, the most me when I am near her. She was my first babysitter, my first black eye, she was there to snap my first bra, she taught me how to drive stick, she was there when I decided which way to go, she was at my wedding and every other important day in my life, she loves my husband and my girls, and she continues to be there when I need to feel loved, taken care of and understood. She's the most genuine and unpretentious person I know. So, Happy Birthday, Em! Do something deserving of wonderful you.

I just realized her children are probably adults now. I still feel like I am a teenager and really late for school.
