These pictures are all from Ada and Charlotte's Ballet Nativity. It was Charlotte's first recital. She didn't point one toe or perform one twirl, but once she did make it out on the stage, sans sheep costume, she wouldn't leave. She just stood there, front and center, smiling at the audience and ignoring all prompts to dance or return backstage. Eventually she had to be carried away by an angel. We laughed tears. It was great, unforgettable.
"There's just no accounting for happiness, or the way it turns up like a prodigal who comes back to the dust at your feet having squandered a fortune far away." (Jane Kenyon)

I laughed tears, too. I couldn't believe how much she was hamming it up! Such cute pics and such fun memories!
Beautiful girls! What fun memories :) I love ballet recitals, so girly and so fun.
Ann, that's pretty funny about Charlotte. I also can't believe how much like a "real girl" Ellie looks in her pictures. Oh, and PS, Kate is engaged!
