"There's just no accounting for happiness, or the way it turns up like a prodigal who comes back to the dust at your feet having squandered a fortune far away." (Jane Kenyon)

Big Day for Elle

My Elle was baptised Saturday, September 5th, wearing the same dress I wore almost 25 years ago. And per tradition, my Mom brought a wreath of flowers for her hair. It was all gorgeous. Gramma, Papa and Baba shared messages and prayers, our 95-yr-old neighbor played the piano, Marko did the honors, generous friends and family filled the rows, and afterwards, it was homemade Fresh Mex for all and a 4-tier rice-krispie cake.
"It was the best thing that ever happened to me. It felt really good to be baptized because it was something Heavenly Father wants us to do and I also got the Holy Ghost and was confirmed a member of the Church." Eleanor

Adorable. Looks like a good time, sorry we missed it. We have a gift for the baptism girl, we'll drop it by soon.

So sweet. She's beautiful, and I love her testimony, too.

I wish my mom had saved my dress. Oh, well.
