Let It Go

I know, it's been three years, "Let it go, Ann, let it go." But come Fall, I just can't help but ache for Virginia. It was magic in the Fall. You've never seen orange and red and yellow do their thing like they do it in the Blue Ridge Mountains....ahhh.... And picking apples on top of Carter's Mountain....trick-or-treating on the Lawn at UVA.... our favorite pumpkin patch out in Orange.... the glorious drives, the cooling evenings, the marching band playing in the distance.... Loved it.

Right there with you. Whenever I see pictures of Virginia I sigh and feel that familiar twinge. Surely there must be some way to go back.

I know Ann, there is just nothing like the Fall out here.
But . . . make sure you take several drives up the Alpine Loop and I promise you will be somewhat satisfied!

ann!!! oh my gosh, you are back in business, where have i been??? first of all, congratulations!!!! i am so happy for you! your entry was so beautifully written-- at first i wasn't sure if you were quoting from a journal of charlotte's days in the womb, then of course realized you were announcing. i so hope you are feeling better and i'm dying to know what it is. you guys are stellar.
so happy for mark that he got to spend more time in russia. i hope he enjoyed it thoroughly. (and that you survived okay without him!)
congratulations also to elle and her baptism. i also, have wanted milla to wear my baptism dress, if she wants to. i love that elle was able to wear yours.

hope you are well! and maybe we will see you in january, if we can make a trip over.
