And also, to set the mood, I posted a new playlist of favorite love songs. Who doesn't love a good love song? There's all kinds here. Some of them are positively sweet: "True Love Ways," for example, is my in-law's song and they're the happiest couple I know. Some of them are down right naughty, but that's part of it too, right? May I direct you to the lovely and sultry Nina Simone, "Laid" and "Blood in My Eyes." And some are just, well, reflections of moments past, of loving and being loved. However, my favorite love song of all time is nowhere to be found on the world-wide web: Sinatra's "Follow Me" with Duke Ellington. I remember the first time I heard it, cruising down a Northern California highway with a recently returned-from-Russia missionary, those thrilling sideways glances, not quite ready to be caught, and just beginning to realize how absolutely crazy we were for each other....
Happy Valentine's Day!
"There's just no accounting for happiness, or the way it turns up like a prodigal who comes back to the dust at your feet having squandered a fortune far away." (Jane Kenyon)

Steak and Love Songs
If you've been wondering what to make your lovin' man this Valentine's, look no further. I've got just the thing. This, my friends, is a sexy plate of food. It's Pioneer Woman's Rib-eye Steak with Whiskey Cream Sauce and Crash Hot Potatoes. Let's just say Mark licked his plate clean. Licked.
