So, here I am at the toilet. Let me explain. I could feel that BLT rising up to revolt through my esophagus and throat little by little while we watched the Amazing Race, so I hovered in the doorway, waiting for the inevitable. And then when it was time, those sweet girls ran to my side, patting my back with "Poor Mom"s. And then I heard Mark, as he ran out of the room, "Hold on, honey!" I thought he was off for a sympathetic glass of water or a towel, but before I knew it, I saw a flash. So, here we have it, never to forget: Mom once again at the toilet and the girls, so genuinely concerned. As for Mark, I don't know if he wanted to capture the girls' empathy or if he just likes the view from that angle. Probably the latter.
"There's just no accounting for happiness, or the way it turns up like a prodigal who comes back to the dust at your feet having squandered a fortune far away." (Jane Kenyon)
