Wine Country

On Saturday we stole away over the hills to Napa Valley with my brother Brian and his family. It was gorgeous and delicious and all in all, a dream.
The view from our moving vehicle.
Bouchon Bakery in Yountville, Ca. of Thomas Keller fame. French Laundry was right down the street. Some day....
Some serious baked goods.

Window watching in St. Helena: Owen, Charlotte, Ada and Elle.

The bounty at Taylor's Refresher in St. Helena: juicy burgers on toasted sourdough, garlic and sweet potato fries. And where else do you see a wine bar in the back of a burger joint?

Owen and Ada do an impressive job sharing a cookies n' cream shake--they were perfect, not something you want someone else to dip their straw in.
The good-looking couple: Brian and Marci and the top of Dean's head.

I got kinda short of breath and a little faint looking at these photos. Holy Crap! I want to go to there. It is a long standing dream of mine to eat at French Laundry and that first picture?--can you hear the pitter of my heart through this screen? Burgers on sourdough! That sticky bun! A wine bar! (oh, wait, I don't drink wine--bit I might if I went there).

Great pictures Ann. Man, you're on top of things. I haven't even downloaded my pics yet. I love the one of Owen and Ada drinking the shake. We did see TOp Chef and loved that it was Napa. I was thinking of you when we saw the wine train coming down the line. By the way, the picture of Eleanor and Mark in the next group of pictures is adorable. You should frame that and put it up somewhere. Love you guys. Thanks for meeting us on your trip.

Fantastic Ann! I love the pictures and if you can't be in Charlotesville, Nothern California will do just fine!
